They clearly just love to run. ... read more After a quick check on our clothes with ‘top ups’ where needed, we were briefed on the sleds and introduced to our dogs. We were quickly on our way. The route took us through forests, across swamps and up and down low fells. It was picturesque but also sufficiently challenging. After a couple of hours, we stopped for a spot of lunch (dogs first, of course) and then returned to the farm, where we helped unharness the dogs. I loved the way they all knew where they lived and went straight to their pens (where they were fed). This is the place I’ll return to next time! …

  Husky dog sledding - booked through hotel who offered warmer clothing if we wanted it which we did not but did borrow warmer boots. We were collected by car from... read more the hotel. We were lucky as it was just the two of us. 4km route out into the surrounding area and across two lakes. Very fast but owner kept a good eye on us. Afterwards we saw the other dogs and went for hot berry juice around the fire in the cabin. The dogs were extremely well looked after and it was great to chat to the owners. What a great experience.

You can see that the owners really care about their dogs and giving their guests a great experience. The animals are very well trained. We got a few instructions and shortly afterwards were driving through the snow-covered forest. We stopped near a frozen lake where a fire was made. We all got some hot lunch and could relax a bit before we drove back. 

We couldn't have imagined having a better day in the countryside. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
